Course Orientation & Meet-and-Greet (In-Person):

Get a head start on your interpreting journey! Join us for a free, in-person orientation session designed to prepare you for the course. This will be an interactive event featuring mini-stations for you to explore. You can take your required fluency exam, make course payments, enjoy complimentary food and drinks, network with fellow attendees, meet your instructor and any guest speakers, participate in a Q&A, and receive a special gift!

  • What to Expect & Bring: Please be prepared to ask any questions you may have about the course. If you plan to register or pay during the orientation, please bring your full payment (for the Standard or Early Bird fee) or your down payment (for the Flexible Payment Plan). You will also be required to take a fluency exam during the orientation to ensure proficiency in both English and Spanish.

Our hybrid format combines the flexibility of online learning with essential in-person support.

      • Thursdays: OFF (Including Thanksgiving)

    • Total for Core Instruction: This schedule will spread the 40 hours of instruction across these dates, with the final sessions on November 29th concluding the core course, including a dedicated Q&A.

  • These sessions provide an opportunity to demonstrate and test interpretation equipment, offering hands-on experience that complements your online learning.

One-on-One Meetings for Potential SEI Team Members (Virtual):

  • Time: To be scheduled individually during the Celebration Event.

  • Location: Virtual via Zoom

  • For those interested in joining the SEI team, these exclusive sessions provide an opportunity for a personalized interview and discussion about potential work opportunities with your instructor, Isabel.

  • Standard Course Fee (One-Time Payment): $500

  • Early Bird Discount (One-Time Payment): Simply register by August 5, 2025, to pay only $350!

    • (Payment for Early Bird will be collected at the In-Person Orientation on September 15, 2025.)

  • Flexible Payment Plan Option (Total): $650

    • This option allows you to spread out your payments. Here's how it works:

      • Down Payment: $250 (due by September 15, 2025 - aligning with the Orientation & Meet-and-Greet!)

      • First Installment: $200 (due by October 15, 2025)

      • Second Installment: $200 (due by November 15, 2025)

  • This course provides a Certificate of Completion from SEI, recognizing your foundational training. It is not a state or national certification.

  • Participants must be fluent in both Spanish and English. Fluency will be assessed via a required exam administered during the In-Person Course Orientation & Meet-and-Greet on September 15, 2025.

  • You will need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a webcam and microphone, and access to Zoom.

  • Upon successful completion, you will receive your physical Certificate of Completion at our celebration event. You will also have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one virtual session with your instructor, Isabel, to discuss potential work opportunities with us!

  • Full refunds are available up to 14 days before the course start date. After this, a partial credit may be issued at the discretion of Summit Echo Interpretations.

  • This is a free, two-hour event designed to help you prepare for the course and connect with the interpreting community. We'll provide an overview of the curriculum, answer your initial questions, introduce you to special guest speakers who will share insights into the interpreting profession, and provide complimentary food and drinks. It's also where you'll take your required language fluency exam and can make your course payment. This interactive event will feature various mini-stations for a dynamic experience.
