What this Training Delivers:

Our hybrid format combines the flexibility of online learning with essential in-person support.

  • Core Online Evening Sessions (via Zoom):

    • Dates: Thursday, February 26 - Thursday, June 2, 2026

      • Exceptions: March 12, April 9, May 14

    • Schedule:

      • Every Thursday from 6:30-8:30 PM.

      • Total for Core Instruction: This schedule will spread 24 hours of direct live instruction across these dates, plus 16 hours of asynchronous work with homework and team projects.

Optional Support Sessions (In-Person):

  • Date 1: Friday, March 13, 2026

  • Date 2: Friday, April 10, 2026

  • Date 3: Friday May 15, 2026

  • Time: 3-5pm (2 hour in length on both days).

  • These sessions provide an opportunity to demonstrate and test interpretation equipment, offering hands-on experience that complements your online learning.

Training Completion Celebration (In-Person):

  • Date: Friday, June 12, 2026

  • Time: TBD (Food Provided!)

  • Location: Summit County (exact location TBD)

  • Join us for a celebratory event where you'll receive your physical Certificate of Completion, enjoy complimentary food, and network with your fellow graduates and instructors!

Meetings for Potential SEI Team Members (Virtual):

  • Date: Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19

  • Time: 6:30-8:30 PM (30-minute individual sessions)

  • Location: Virtual via Zoom

  • For those interested in joining the SEI team, these exclusive sessions provide an opportunity for a personalized interview and discussion about potential work opportunities with your instructor, Isabel!

We offer flexible pricing to make quality interpreter training accessible.

  • Standard Course Fee (One-Time Payment): $500

    • (Payment is due by March 4th)

  • Flexible Payment Plan Option (Total): $620

    • This option allows you to spread out your payments. Here's how it works:

      • Down Payment: $220 (due by February 26, 2026) EXTENSION: NOW DUE MARCH 4TH

      • First Installment: $100 (due by March 25, 2026)

      • Second Installment: $100 (due by April 25, 2026)

      • Second Installment: $100 (due by May 25, 2026)

      • Fourth Installment: $100 (due by June 12, 2026)

    • All payments must be completed to receive your Certificate of Competency.

Meet Isabel, the founder of Summit Echo Interpretations (SEI) and your dedicated instructor. With a strong foundation as a community interpreter and 3 years of successful business ownership, Isabel brings real-world experience and a deep passion for language justice to the classroom. She is committed to empowering the next generation of interpreters with both the language skills and the business acumen needed to thrive in this vital profession.

 FAQs

  • This course provides a Certificate of Competency from SEI, recognizing your foundational training. It is not a state or national certification.

  • Participants must be fluent in both Spanish and English. Fluency will be assessed via a Language Proficiency Screening in either English or Spanish with Language Testing International.

  • You will need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone enabled, and access to Zoom.

  • Upon successful completion, you will receive your physical Certificate of Competency at our celebration event. You will also have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one virtual session with your instructor, Isabel, to discuss potential work opportunities with us!

  • Full refunds are available up to 14 days before the course start date. After this, a partial credit may be issued at the discretion of Summit Echo Interpretations within the first week of training.

  • This is currently the only live course planned. Please email Isabel at summitechointerpretations@gmail.com if you are interested in becoming a Community Interpreter but are not available for this training.
